Magic Moments

Magic moments can happen anywhere but are especially prevalent at the beach! What makes this place so wonderful? For me, it is the smell of salt and sunscreen, along with the sights of blue skies against the emerald coast. The white sand contrasting with the waters and sea oats is very pleasing to the eye. Oh, and the warm sunshine with a sea breeze cooling the skin. What draws you to the water’s edge?

Meet Izzy!

The last time I photographed this little lady, she was a toddler. Now, she is 4 going on 14! This sweet, well-mannered little girl was the best listener. I told her grandmother that she listens better than the teenagers, haha! We had the best time updating her photos.

The beach is a favorite getaway.

Izzy’s family has a second home here in town. It is definitely where the magic moments happen for her. They visit Orange Beach as often as possible, not only to get away from the hustle of everyday life but also to connect with what is important to them. Izzy and the family!

In this case, there is no need to manufacture a scene or create a look. At the beach, Izzy comes to life and takes in the natural beauty of her surroundings. Her smiles are genuine, her fascination with the sand and surf is real, and her passion shows. My only job was to quietly follow, instruct Izzy where to sit or stand, and let her do the rest.
