Maternity Photos at the Beach

Jo & Roc are so excited to be having their first baby, and about taking maternity photos at the beach!  When the two of them started thinking about announcements, they brainstormed on cute ways to tell everyone.

We are having a baby!

Being beach lovers and in need of a vacation, the choice was obvious.

Let’s take our maternity photos at the beach, said Roc.  He arranged everything, including the reservations, and researching photographers in the area.  All Jo had to do was accompany her hubby to the beach and be beautiful.

Ah, a beautiful pastel sky to add to the beauty of this pregnancy announcement.

What a great idea!

This couple made the best of their time at the beach.  You see, when you are from New York, the Gulf of Mexico is a big deal!  They planned this trip for a few months and enjoyed every second of their time here.

Good photos, beautiful couple & a lovely sunset.

When planning maternity photos at the beach, think about your due date.

The best timing for maternity photos for most moms-to-be is around 5-7 months.  This allows your expectant belly to be big enough to show off, but not too large that you feel hot & uncomfortable out on the beach.  Of course, everyone is different, but as a rule, this is good timing.

Are you wondering what to wear for your maternity photos at the beach?

Jo chose a flowy pink dress.  You guessed it, she is having a girl!  The options are endless, depending on your style, but a flowy dress is always a pretty option.  For mamas that are not as girly, a sundress, jeans, shorts, or even a swimsuit make adorable maternity photos on the beach.

I could go on and on about this couple, but you get it.

They are the cutest! I am very excited to share the fun of creating a pregnancy announcement for Roc & Jo.  I most look forward to meeting the new baby girl next year.  Thank you for allowing Beach Shutters Photography to be your photographer in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and beyond.
