Met in Vegas

Cory and Tika met in Vegas. It was 20 years ago when these two love birds said their vows in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cory’s military family travels landed him in Nevada, and Tika was working with a children’s program at the time. They said a fun fact about their wedding photos is that they went to the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign to jump for a picture, and Elvis photobombed them in a Pink Cadillac.

Vegas Jump

Twenty years later, they still have the Jump! There is no Elvis or Vegas sign, just a beautiful Alabama sunset.

Jump Ahead 20 years.

Cory is a pastor in Nashville, Tennessee, and Tika works for the same church. They are more in love than ever and came to Gulf Shores to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. I enjoyed meeting them on a charming evening for Anniversary photos at the beach.

Love the beaches in Alabama.

From Vegas to Tennessee to Alabama. I want to hold your hand!

There was no Elvis photo bombing this time.

However, the sun made a grand appearance, and Mother Nature showed off her colors at sunset. This was a much classier background for beach photos than the King of Rock n Roll and a pink car, haha! What a fun couple. I immediately knew they loved their life together and took nothing for granted.

Cory’s one request was a photo of his wife. This will be for his desktop!

Their “we met in Vegas & got married” story was fascinating.

Their story only started in Vegas but did not stay in Vegas. Continuing the family tradition of travel, these two have adventure in their blood. Seeing new places and creating new experiences makes them such a unique couple. Cory says Tika can board a plane and almost always run into someone she knows. I bet Cory doesn’t meet many strangers, either!

Anniversary Trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Happy 20th!

Social Butterflies!

They fluttered worldwide, bringing their happy nature to a city near you. I hope that the next time Cory and Tika find themselves at the beach in Alabama, they will allow Beach Shutters Photography to retake their photos. I had as much fun as they did; as you can see, these two have lots of fun wherever they go!
