Photos at Fort Morgan
Beach Shutters Photography took photos at Fort Morgan this week! Fall and Spring are great times to visit the Fort and take pictures. You wouldn’t know it by the images, but it was pretty windy outside. We found it very comfortable in the Fort, which was ideal for an alternative to beach portraits.
Baby, it’s cold outside!
Too hot, cold, or very windy outdoors? Our usual “tuck-in, away from inclement weather” locations are on the bay in Orange Beach. The Fort may be my new favorite alternative location. The old bricks and architecture make a fascinating background for any session.
Can you imagine a fancy dress in these photos?
This location lends itself to a new look that I like. Dress up! I can see a girl wearing her dressiest dress, prop clothing, or even wedding attire to take photos. Do you happen to have glass slippers? This is some real-life Cinderella stuff right here in Gulf Shores!
Like a princess!
Just the atmosphere brings a mood for the lifestyle & documentary sessions that we strive for. Family portraits, bridal photos, senior pictures, and engagements would fit right in at the Fort. I will push for a few more sessions this winter to see how people like this new find.
Photos at Fort Morgan are not the only “off-the-beach” locations.
Beach Shutters Photography has met clients at the Arts Center in Orange Beach and the Wharf for a non-beachy backdrop. Senior portraits work well at the sportsplex, as well as the nature trails in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. I am excited to add this location to our ever-growing list of photo locations in the area.
Whether you schedule photos at Fort Morgan or not, I recommend adding this historic location to your vacation “to-do” list.
