The Best Places to take Photos in Orange Beach Alabama
While visiting the Alabama Gulf coast, you may want to know the best place to take photos in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. We have a couple of favorites that we would like to share with you.
Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion

The Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion is located on a large strip of land between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. It is very picturesque because of the long stretch of dunes and sea oats. This location provides a classic beach look for family photos. In addition to the dunes, there are wooden boardwalks and water views of course.
What is my favorite thing about this location?
This is the only photo location in Orange Beach that offers an unobstructed sunset. In the winter, the sun will set slightly over the water, and in the summer, it sets over the dunes. Either way, there are no buildings in your photo. I recommend this State Park to anyone traveling with elderly or bringing strollers. It is a short walk and easy access.
Where are the rocks?
The rocks (jetties) are at the Alabama Point East. These large granite rocks attract lots of families for sunset photos. This location is usually crowded during the summer. It is directly across the street from the Caribe condos and is their preferred beach access. The rocks also are a natural habitat for fish, so you can bet there will be fishermen there too.
The good thing about the Alabama Point East, besides the rocks, is the variety of backgrounds.
There is a hike involved in this photo location in Orange Beach, therefore, be prepared if you have small children, or elderly. Once you walk down the scenic boardwalk, you will find dunes, sea oats, boardwalks, and of course the rocks. There is also a sand trail that makes a nice photo.
Can we take photos at our Condo or Beach house?
Yes, you can! Some condos photograph very well. A few that come to mind are the Turquoise Place, Phoenix West 2 and the Perdido Beach Resort. These photo locations in Orange Beach all have dunes and larger beaches.
