Beach Portrait props

I have been photographing A.C. & Piper since they were babies.  Their mom, Jennifer always brings the cutest beach portrait props!  In the past, she has shown up for photos with baskets, flowy skirts, and even a violin.  Yes, she really thinks things through when planning her photography sessions!

This year, Jennifer found a simple wire basket and filled it with seashells.

Jennifer’s latest idea made the perfect beach portrait prop.  The girls were genuinely excited about the basket of shells, and they were proud to carry the treasures.  After all, what goes better with a sandy beach background than shells?  Exactly!

A beach portrait prop does not have to be anything elaborate.

Our souvenir shops in Orange Beach & Gulf Shores have a wide assortment of sand dollars, shells, and other appropriate beach portrait props available for you to purchase.  Personal items can make a photo session your own as well.  Musical instruments, baseball uniforms, swimsuits, or beach balls are some of my favorite beach portrait props.

The Howell Family turns their session into an experience every year.

Not only does Jennifer bring a backup outfit, and photo props, she also makes sure the girls have snacks & drinks.  A.C. & Piper always have their hair fixed and sprayed in place.  That is a given, being that mom is a hairdresser!  Lol, mom is well prepared for her mini-session and doesn’t want anything to get in the way of her family photography session.

As always, mom’s efforts paid off.

Patrick & Jennifer’s home is well decorated with family portraits displayed throughout.  In fact, I am always getting referrals from their friends and family.  Once folks see their home art, they want the same experience at their family photo session!
