Where will you spend your 90th birthday?
That was the question. This photo was the answer.
Family is everything.
I have photographed Natalie’s family while they vacation in Orange Beach before. This year was special, she wanted to bring her extended family, including her grandparents. You see, someone is celebrating his 90th birthday!
The photo session went as expected, just like any other.
The boys carried a chair from the condo so granddad could rest between photos. After photos, I snapped this last shot before asking him if I should send the boys to get him. He answered with a smile that he was Alright sitting right here. Indeed he was! Soaking up the morning sunrise, listening to the laughter of his great-grandchildren, and smiling out at the waves, what a happy birthday. I cannot imagine a better place to celebrate 90 wonderful years!
A Thousand Words
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. That is true. The emotions alone that this photo brings up the count for so many words alone.

For me, I see happiness, reflection, joy, kindness, peace, and contentment. It is just touching, where words cannot go, a photo can easily take you.
What does this photo mean to Natalie?
It means everything! She and Kimberly adore their grandfather. This vacation, time together, letting the generations make memories together is priceless. These memories will forever be captured in a photo for these precious kids to look back on for years to come.
Make time, take the photo!
It doesn’t have to be a birthday, or any occasion, just document time with family. Generational photos are so very special, to all involved. Think about it, what photos are most important to you? Exactly!
