Fun at the Fort
Today we had fun at the Fort, all while taking family photos of Amber’s family. The textures, brick & architecture are picture-perfect at Fort Morgan. This is one of my all-time favorite photo locations in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The gates are open daily, and the Fort is rarely crowded.
Fort Morgan is a photo location and a history lesson in one.
Dad will like seeing all of the relics and touring the grounds. The kids will be amazed to see how our soldiers lived and worked. There is also a gift shop to buy souvenirs and supplies. For all of these reasons, plan to stay a while.
Plan a full day of activities, including fishing at Fort Morgan!
The newest Gulf Shores fishing pier is complete and located right here at Fort Morgan. If you prefer beach fishing or sunbathing, there is a beautiful secluded beach just outside the gates of Fort Morgan. So there you have it, a day of fun at the Fort!
What are the other reasons to schedule family photos at the Fort?
When we meet for beach photos, you are asked to choose sunset or sunrise since it is too bright for mid-day. Furthermore, at Fort Morgan, we have shade and plenty of it. This means we can schedule your family photos at other times of the day. Shelter for our soldiers also makes an excellent wind block and protection from the rain.
Fort Morgan Photographers are happy to meet you on windy days!
The Fort is a great substitute location when beach photos are not possible due to weather. Orange Beach offers the Arts Center and the Herron House, and Gulf Shores is proud to have Fort Morgan open daily, even on windy days.
Fun at the Fort starts with photos!
Come by car or ferry to tour, learn about the history of the Fort, and take family portraits. Beach Shutters Photography would love to meet you at this one-stop shop!
